Driehaus bungalow award 2020

In 2020, DBR Home Builders led Carolina Juarez-Hill and Michael Hill’s project to completely transform their bathroom in their bungalow home. The old bathroom was outdated, inaccessible, and “stood in the way of their plans for aging in place.“

They were able to keep the integrity of the bathroom while at the same time adding safety and design features that aligned with their vision.

“Everything is so nicely finished and painted, just wonderful the way it all comes together … it looks really, really sharp.“

The project was awarded the 2020 Driehaus Bungalow Award in the Interior Rehabilitation category.

“With a gut rehab, they repaired the plumbing, added ADA accessible finishes and fixtures, and included historically-inspired design touches, too.”
